" Mine " is supposed to reflect the artist's life , it is supposed to show which influences he had during his career to bring him to where he is at this point of his life. The paintings on the shelves turn out to be copies of famous artists like Van Gogh , Velasquez and Picasso , mixed with his own artwork and portraits of his wife , children and kids.This selfconfident painting was created by Harari when he was 71 years old. He pictured himself , standing in his world of Art. His desire to connect with the world is propably most apparent in "Mine" , he always had the desire to to educate those unfamiliar with modern art , color his philosophy about art's significance and potential.

And yes , I find myself in those "uneducated" people . Instead of Harari being an artist like so many , not caring what other people think and undertand of Art , he is different ; and his painting reflects that very well.

To me , this painting just totally appears positive , how he is standing in between pieces of famous Art and also his own and most definetily wants everybody to see how much he enjoys it , his life which is lived through Art. 'I listened doubtingly an instant; detected the disturber, then turned and dozed, and dreamt again; if possible, still more disagreeably than before.' From this point forward, we are unsure whether Lockwood dreams are in fact, real or not. However, he himself states it was in fact only a dream, This confuses the reader even more, as Heathcliff is adamant that the ghost was not a dream. Bronte does this to show how insecure Heathcliff is about Cathy, and how he can not control his own feelings.
